Over the years we have had several puppy parents come to our homes and pick up their new baby or one of our moms or dads that we were are retiring. We always welcome you with open arms.
Here are a couple of stories of Fur kids that were picked up in person.
PLEASE NOTE WE WILL LET OUR BABIES GO ONLY WHEN THEY ARE READY...
![]() ![]() The Trenary Family
The Trenary family drove to our home from Michigan to get Carmella, she was one of our moms we retired. She had to have a c-section with her 1st litter of babies so we retired her. Any time one of our moms has to have a c-section no matter what age they are done. We NEVER take our mom's life in danger just for a litter of babies. They renamed her Ella

Subject: Carmella update
Hi Cindy
Sorry I have not contacted you lately but we are all doing fine. Carmella is doing great. Don and I could not live without her. What a wonderful addition to our family. She is spoil rotten. Nice bed, lots of toys. lots of love and affection. Plus she is really smart. We are currently going to dog school and of course she is the best and the smallest in the class. Every time I look at her I smile and she had brought so much joy and happiness to us. Cindy I can't thank you enough for selecting her for us. She has been the prefect dog. She loves to play with her squeaky toys and run them and play tug of war.
Enjoy the pictures of her.

Subject: Update on Mandy
Hi, Cindy.
Quick update on Mandy: We did name her "Lena" according to our daughter's wishes. Although our son fought hard for "Boots" or "Molly."
I'm so glad we had the opportunity to pick her up from your home ourselves and to meet her mother, Bonnie. I see a lot of Bonnie in her!
Lena was silent, almost limp, the whole four-hour drive home and the entire next day. We called her "Sleepy" and I spent hours on the computer looking up "depressed" dogs. My daughter cried. But then, Lena "woke up" with a little bark on Day 2. We stared at her in wonder, quickly understanding that she didn't like having her food in a bowl. For two months we had to scoop it onto the floor. She just barked and barked at the bowl. (She eventually figured out the bowl thing!)
Lena is now a total sweetheart. She's been spayed, graduated from Puppy School and just got her first haircut (see photos). The groomer said she was a delight. Very cooperative.
She loves to pounce on sweet gumball's outside, toss them in the air and pounce again. She sneaks them in the house two at a time in her mouth. She loves to go for walks and play with the neighbors' two Havanese dogs. They run like crazy and tumble all over each other. She is fond of all people. Her little tail wags wildly whenever someone new comes near. I was careful to socialize her with every dog, child and stranger I could find. It's paying off.
Lena follows me everywhere and is a little cuddle bug. We crate her when we're out, but she's been sleeping in bed with my daughter since 15 weeks. When my daughter was away for a sleepover, Lena cried and cried until I picked her up and pulled her into bed with us, then she curled into a ball at our feet. She hates to sleep alone at night, but she goes willingly into her crate and snuggles into a little ball when we have to leave during the day. No barking or crying.
Lena will be six months old on March 29. These photos were taken March 16 after she returned home from the groomer.
Best to you and your adorable daughter.
